I Tried 5 Steel Toe Brands. Only One Didn't Wreck My Feet by 3PM.
Ten hours on a concrete warehouse floor and you learn inside a week which shoe is lying to you. I've owned plenty of liars.
First a £130 pair of classic steel toes. Heavy, stiff, and by month two my ankles ached on the drive home. Then £50 insoles in the old pair, figuring the sole was the problem. It wasn't. 6. Mesh that breathes
My old shoes were damp and hot by the end of a shift. The upper is breathable mesh with a moisture-wicking lining, and that helps in a warehouse with no AC in August.
7. A Kevlar midsole for what's on the floor
Pallet nails, staples and broken banding all end up in the aisles. The midsole is puncture-resistant Kevlar, the layer I want between my foot and whatever I missed on a pick run.
